Bang Luan grapefruit products, Chi Dam grapefruit products meet 4-star OCOP standards, Phu Lam, Minh Luong, Van Du, Phuc Lai, Bang Doan and Van Don grapefruit products meet 3-star OCOP standards. ; Doan Hung grapefruit brand continues to be known and welcomed by many markets, consumer demand for Doan Hung grapefruit products is very large. Especially in 2023, with the attention of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection, Doan Hung district has promoted the form of production linkage associated with product consumption between grapefruit growing households and cooperatives and businesses. industry, so even though in economic downturn conditions, people's purchasing power is more limited than usual, Doan Hung grapefruit products are still consumed in large quantities, with no shortage. Grapefruit output is consumed through the form of linked production and consumption, accounting for about 30% of total output, the remaining about 70% of output through the system of cooperatives and traders.

The form of production linkage along the value chain has been focused on implementation by businesses and establishments. In the district, there are 3 establishments and 1 company that have processed grapefruit products such as grapefruit peel jam with Ocop 3-star product, grapefruit essential oil, grapefruit tea, grapefruit wine... which has increased the economic value for growers. grapefruit . Deeply processed products with packaging and labels have contributed to strongly promoting the Doan Hung grapefruit brand, the profits of chain participants have increased 2-3 times, in which the income of producers has increased. constantly increasing, the average income is about 110-120 million VND/ha/year, especially the areas planted with Bang Luan grapefruit and Chi Dam grapefruit reach 400-650 million VND/ha/year.

The above results have encouraged people to continue to maintain and expand grapefruit growing areas, contributing to promoting sustainable production. However, developing grapefruit trees in Doan Hung district still has difficulties that need to be overcome:

- A part of farmers have not boldly invested in and applied new technical techniques, and their ideology depends on the support of the state.

- Grapefruit growing households have a habit of selling the entire garden to traders from the time the grapefruit flowers and young fruits (with payment in advance), so it is very difficult for businesses from outside the province to contact them to sign a contract to sell the product. Compete with existing trading methods in the grapefruit area.

- Production links with businesses associated with product consumption are not many and not really sustainable.

To continue to link the production, processing and consumption of Doan Hung grapefruits sustainably and effectively, localities need to pay attention to implementing the following solutions:

Direct the establishment, issuance and management of planting area codes and agricultural product packaging facilities for concentrated grapefruit growing areas to control production situation, control product quality, and trace the origin of crop products .

Promote linkages in production and business organizations, further strengthen the ability to firmly link between the four houses: farmers - entrepreneurs - scientists - managers; Promote the construction of new cooperatives, cooperative groups, farm models, and family farms to effectively implement issues related to science and technology, economic management and market search. Focus on building a chain of links between production, harvesting, processing, preservation and consumption to create quality products, ensure food safety, and distribute reasonable profits, thereby increasing additional income for grapefruit growers.

There is a mechanism to attract businesses to invest in the field of planting and intensive cultivation of grapefruit trees, especially the preliminary processing, processing and preservation of grapefruit, forming production links along the value chain; Continue to expand large-scale growing areas to facilitate the introduction of mechanization and application of technical equipment to reduce input costs. Encourage businesses, cooperatives, and production facilities to deeply process, salvage, and diversify products from grapefruit trees such as: grapefruit flowers for display or marinating foods and drinks; Grapefruit seeds, in addition to providing farms that produce seedlings, can be used to press essential oils; Young fruits use the peel to make essential oil and pulp to make grapefruit tea, grapefruit jam, etc. to diversify the market and have more potential customers.
